How do you know that you can't swim before you put your feet in the cold
water, soak up, attempt to float and flap those limbs? You don't. It's
just an excuse not to try. Similarly, I give excuses to medicine. I
pampered myself and allowed myself to not do well just because I don't
want to get soaked, cold and tired because medicine at times is
soaking, cold and tiring - until one day, I realise that those who don't
swim are stuck on the same spot, won't get to the other side and won't
see with their own eyes what they could be missing.
I've spent the first two years making excuses, and I'm glad to still have another four years to go, hopefully to grow a fin.

p/s: Hoping for the best for my endocrine results. Felt so doomed after went out from the exam hall. And I hate the new sitting placement. So not convenient for a short person like me.
